Mission
Our mission is to preserve and maintain the integrity of all Palm Aire open spaces and to be a watchful eye, looking out for any activities that violate existing land use approvals and agreements.
Vision
For the City of Pompano to represent its citizens' best interests, and enforce the promised and relied upon recorded agreements & covenants that protect Palm Aire's history and character, and its open green spaces and wildlife.
These recorded agreements have been strictly relied upon by the residents of Palm Aire and Pompano Beach, and our city's officials have a duty to honor them and represent the best interests of the citizens, not the developers that support their elections campaigns.
The promises our city ensured in the Master Settlement Agreement are "covenants running with the land" that limit Palm Aire to a maximum allowable density of 10,631 units. Upon information and belief, the City of Pompano Beach recently violated this limit and has already caused damages. The City of Pompano cannot allow this to happen again, as significant additional damages will result to all of the owners and residents throughout Palm Aire and Pompano Beach.
In addition to the Master Settlement Agreement explained above, owners and residents of Palm Aire and Pompano Beach have strictly relied upon a recorded Open Space Restriction Agreement, whereby Clublink promises not to make any improvements of any kind that were unrelated to golf course improvements. Upon information and belief, this restriction applies to the vast majority of open green spaces throughout Palm Aire, is still in effect today, and includes the Oaks Clubhouse parcel on which Clublink seeks approval to develop 270 rental units - a project completely adverse to the character of Palm Aire and in direct violation of the Open Space Restriction Agreement to which Clublink is a party and legally bound.
Through community awareness, political action and support, and responsible land use practices, we can maintain the intended and promised character of Palm Aire: a sustainable and harmonious self-governed community surrounded by open green spaces filled with large, unique and beautiful canopy trees and an abundance of wildlife; all as previously promised by the City of Pompano Beach and as strictly relied upon by the residents of Palm Aire, and Pompano Beach.
